MILANOGARAGE was born from the passion of two friends crazy about classic cars.  It all started, as it often happens to us two, with a long conversation while driving...  On that day, in April 2015, during one of the many trips searching for a car with a nice story to tell, I was driving when Riccardo told me: "Alessandro, but have you got any idea of how many beautiful classic cars are stored or abandoned in underground garages?  Perhaps full of dust, with flat tires and dead batteries and therefore unusable? We must do something for them and for our city!"  I replied full of enthusiasm: "Riccardo, you're right, we must open a CAR HOTEL and take care of them!"  Since then, we have been working to design, build and open MILANOGARAGE because we think that the beauty of restoring the first CAMARO ever produced or the old FIAT 1300 of your friend's grandfather has no equal, but storing them perfectly and above all in a special place is absolutely wonderful and important.  These wonderful classic cars deserved, also in Milan as it already happened in other cities all over the world, an adequate place and MILANOGARAGE is that place but it is also a meeting point where people can socialize and stay close to their car when the climate does not allow outdoor rides.  Moreover, have you ever thought about the history of vintage vehicles? About when a certain vehicle was produced and why? But also about its history from the moment it was designed and created to when it was delivered to its first owner?  And then again about the trips it was used for, the people it met and transported and the stories that it can tell?  MILANOGARAGE was also created to experience and make you experience all this again and again...
Riccardo Tosi, a passionate collector (people say he has owned more than one hundred VW Buses...), was born in Milan in 1972, just in time to live in the golden age of the Supercars of the 80s, but also to see the great classic cars of the previous decade on the road.  In his family, almost all the members are car lovers, but the most "relevant" input was given by his father Ettore, a well-known designer, who explained the young Ricky when a car is really nice (both from a beauty and design point of view) and by his uncle Gianmaria, who - ahead of the times - had been collecting great icons such as Lamborghini Miura, Porsche RS and BMW 3.0 CSL since late 70s.  The first direct experiences with a classic car were made with the family's Fiat 2300 S Coupé, which showed clear the differences in style, mechanical elements and fun in driving of that time when compared to the current ones.  After his studies at the Politecnico in Milan, he spent a long time in Madrid, Spain when he started to cultivate his great passion: "Discovering classic cars that had been forgotten or abandoned in farms or hidden garages".  In the 90s the close Portugal is such an almost inexhaustible "reservoir" of barn finds that Riccardo establishes his first company trading vintage cars and motorbikes all over Europe.  Once back in Italy, several years later, the road is marked: firstly he had an experience at a shop selling NOS (New Old Stock) spare parts for German cars; then, he did not only become Contributor Editor for various specialized magazines, but he finally made his dream become true: MILANOGARAGE!  A hotel for vintage vehicles, a classic car storage that is also a meeting point for car lovers and that can provide 360° assistance for any needs of this splendid passion.
